SoftBank is in talks to invest as much as $10 billion in Uber, the Wall Street Journal said. SoftBank and its Vision Fund are looking to buy from 17 percent to 22 percent of Uber, through a combination of share purchases from the company and a tender offer to employees and investors, the story said. The tender offer would represent a 30 percent discount or more from Uber’s last valuation, the WSJ said. SoftBank would also get two board seats.
