KKR to buy PetVet Care Centers

KKR said Dec. 27 that it is buying PetVet Care Centers LLC. Financial terms weren’t announced. Sellers include Ontario Teachers’ Pension PlanL Catterton, and other existing shareholders. PetVet, of Westport, Connecticut, acquires and operates general practice and specialty veterinary hospitals for companion animals. Jefferies LLC provided financial advice while Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP acted as legal advisor to PetVet. Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP served as legal counsel to KKR. Jefferies and KKR Capital Markets are providing debt financing.
