Audax Group held talks to explore a sale of a stake in itself to other PE firms, the Wall Street Journal reported. The Boston PE firm considered selling a minority stake for a new source of money but decided not to proceed with a deal, the story said. Audax tapped Perella Weinberg Partners to advise on the deal, the WSJ said.
