CIP taps Porcari as operating partner

Corsair Infrastructure Partners has named John D. Porcari as an operating partner. Currently, Porcari is president of US Advisory Services at WSP. He is also the former United States Deputy Secretary of Transportation.

Corsair Infrastructure Partners (“CIP”), the global infrastructure investment business of Corsair Capital (“Corsair”), today announced that John D. Porcari, President of US Advisory Services at WSP and former United States Deputy Secretary of Transportation, has joined CIP as an Operating Partner.

Mr. Porcari brings a wealth of relevant sector experience to CIP. He currently directs the US Advisory Services business at WSP, a global engineering and professional services consultancy, and will continue his leadership role at the firm.

In addition to his current role at WSP, Mr. Porcari also serves as Interim Executive Director of the Gateway Program Development Corporation, the entity charged with designing, financing and constructing the Gateway program of projects in the New York and New Jersey metropolitan area. Previously, Mr. Porcari served for four and a half years as Deputy Secretary of the United States Department of Transportation, having been nominated by President Barack Obama and unanimously confirmed by the Senate. He also twice served as Secretary of the Maryland Department of Transportation and as CFO and COO of the University of Maryland, as well as a variety of economic development positions at the local and state government levels.
