Press release
Clearview Capital Fund III, LP (“Fund III”) announced today that its portfolio company, Wilson Orchard & Vineyard Supply, LLC (“Wilson”), has completed the acquisitions of Valley Vineyard and Quantum Irrigation. The transactions closed on February 2, 2018 and April 17, 2018, respectively.
Valley Vineyard manufactures trellising equipment and distributes a broad array of other vineyard and orchard supplies, while Quantum Irrigation provides turnkey irrigation solutions, from design through installation, and distributes irrigation equipment and supplies. Both businesses are based in Lodi, CA (located in California’s Central Valley) and have a longstanding history of servicing commercial orchard and vineyard growers.
Operating out of Washington, Oregon and California, Wilson is a one-stop solutions provider for orchards and vineyards offering a full suite of irrigation, planting, development, and harvesting equipment and supplies. For 30 years, Wilson has earned a strong reputation in some of the world’s most prolific and progressive growing regions for tree fruit, vineyards, berries, hops and nuts.
“For a long time, growers in California have asked us to replicate our one-stop shop model, offering both irrigation and OVS (meaning orchard and vineyard supplies) solutions, which works very well in Washington and Oregon,” stated Joe Perry, Wilson’s CEO. “With the back-to-back acquisitions of Valley Vineyard and Quantum Irrigation, we can now make that a reality.” Wilson’s California presence had previously been limited to offering OVS out of its Paso Robles location.
“Since partnering with Wilson’s management to buy out its previous owner in December 2016, we have invested heavily to build Wilson into a platform capable of growing aggressively while maintaining the high level of quality and service that its customers have come to expect,” said Matt Rumilly, Principal of Clearview Capital. “We believe Valley Vineyard and Quantum Irrigation will represent the first two of many acquisitions that Wilson completes, as the company expands its unique business model into new geographies.”
Wilson is a platform investment in Clearview Capital Fund III, LP, a $325 million committed fund raised in 2013.
