Monroe Capital co-sponsors Thunder Bridge Acquisition SPAC

Monroe Capital LLC said July that it co-sponsored the SPAC from Thunder Bridge Acquisition Ltd, which began trading on the Nasdaq on June 19. The IPO generated $258 million in gross proceeds. Thunder Bridge is looking to buy a business in the financial technology sector.

Chicago, IL, July 24, 2018 – Monroe Capital LLC today announced it co-sponsored Thunder Bridge Acquisition, Ltd. (“Thunder Bridge”), a special purpose acquisition company (“SPAC”), and entered into a forward purchase contract with Thunder Bridge.
 
Thunder Bridge, which intends to focus its search on companies in the financial technology sector, generated total gross proceeds of $258,000,000 from the initial public offering as well as the exercise of the over-allotment option. The company’s units began trading on the Nasdaq Capital Market under the ticker symbol “TBRGU” on June 19, 2018.
