Donerail Group, a new investment firm from Will Wyatt, is in advanced negotiations to buy Tronc, the Chicago Tribune reported Aug. 9. The deal, if struck, would mark the second change in control in less than three years for the company that owns the Chicago Tribune and other newspapers, the story said. Wyatt left hedge fund Starboard Value LP in June after three years, the Chicago Tribune said.
