Equistone Partners to buy Courir for 283 mln euros

Equistone Partners Europe said Oct. 22 that it submitted a binding offer to Groupe Go Sport to buy Courir. The equity value of the offer is 283 million euros ($325.67 million). Courir provides sports footwear through 248 stores in France and 29 abroad, including two in Spain.

Paris, 22 October 2018 – Equistone Partners Europe (“Equistone”), one of Europe’s leading mid-market private equity investors, today submitted a binding offer for the acquisition of the whole business of Courir.

The equity value of this offer is €283m. In this context, Equistone Partners Europe has entered today into exclusive negotiations with Groupe Go Sport.

The completion of this project remains subject to the consultation of employees’ representative bodies and clearance from the relevant antitrust authorities.

The completion of this transaction could occur in the course of H1 2019.
