PRESS RELEASE

June 6, 2018 | Indianapolis, IN – The Firefly Group (“Firefly”), a lower middle market investment firm with offices in Indianapolis and St. Louis, announces its acquisition of EOS Worldwide (“EOS”), a leading provider of systemized concepts, tools, and training that help entrepreneurs get the most from their businesses.

Founded in 2000 by Gino Wickman and Don Tinney and popularized by Wickman’s best-selling book Traction, EOS has helped over 48,000 entrepreneurs and their leadership teams run better businesses and lead better lives. Every day, the company’s more than 200 Professional EOS Implementers across the globe help business owners and leaders harness a set of simple concepts and practical tools to clarify, simplify and achieve their Vision.

Mike Paton and Kelly Knight, the company’s Visionary/CEO and Integrator/President, respectively, remain significant owners of and will continue to lead EOS. Both Wickman and Tinney retain ownership in the company and will continue to be active within the EOS community.

“We worked hard to find the right partners for this unique organization’s next stage of growth, and knew almost instantly Firefly was a great fit,” said Paton. “They share our passion for helping entrepreneurs and their leadership teams, and they clearly understand the value of our strong, independent community of EOS Implementers.” Knight added, “We are also honored to have so many members of our Professional EOS Implementer community invest in the company as part of the transaction. They are the heart and soul of who we are, and their confidence in our future energizes all of us.”

For Firefly, the acquisition has personal significance as it follows several years of the successful implementation of EOS across the firm’s other portfolio companies. “EOS is a proven system that delivers great results by aligning management on common goals,” said David Mann, a Firefly partner and longtime user of EOS. “We have seen firsthand the impact EOS has had in our organizations and look forward to helping the company continue to fulfill its mission of helping entrepreneurs.”

New Canaan Funding, a mezzanine firm with offices in New York and Chicago, provided financing for the transaction. Amherst Partners, a Michigan-based financial advisory firm, advised EOS.
